Rotary Coimbatore City
Rotary Club Coimbatore City chartered on 20th October 2015. Our Charter President Rtn. Rajkumar Velu & Charter Secretary Rtn. Karthikesh SM & charter members were installed on 25th November 2015. The charter club members are primarily childhood friends, Rotaract friends, school friends with a clear motto – Service beyond Self. This is not possible without Rotary club by Rotary Club of Coimbatore Midtown sponsoring the new club. We have been continuously supported by our mentor, friend, guide Rtn. Rajasekar S – GSR, who stood with us and guided young minds in the right direction. Our charter team is visionaries, they adopted Vadivelampalayam as RCC Village and performed many noteworthy projects in the village which houses 1 Primary & Middle school each.

Dear Friends,
Firstly, I am truly honoured and humbled to have been elected as the 9th
president of this esteemed club. It is a privilege to serve alongside such a
dedicated group of individuals who are committed to making a positive impact in
our community and beyond. As we begin the new Rotary Year, we have so much
to look forward to that will be exciting and challenging, unique and perhaps
unprecedented but as stalwart and dedicated Rotarians we will rise to the
occasion.
Our board of directors has set a number of goals for this year and we hope to have
a number of dynamic, interesting and thought-provoking speakers to get you all
thinking. We shall spend together and improve our bonding as a family and enjoy
rotary and fellowship to the fullest.
Our Key projects for the year are
1. Dialysis Centre in Senjerimalai, outreach hospital – Joint project with RCC
Wind City
2. Rejuvenation of lakes for sustainable future and PET bottle collection bins to
be installed in the City
3. World record making of 1 Million seed balls and drive forestation
4. SMART classrooms to be deployed in Government Schools
5. Unlocking potentials and changing destinies
6. Unleashing creativity and fostering curiosity
7. Unleashing the spirit of sports and classic wheels
8. Rainwater harvesting at each Rotarians home
9. Mobile PET care clinic to support the needy
