Elevating Livelihood through Vocational Skills

We have identified the needy women in the village whose livelihood has been affected due to the Covid pandemic. The beneficiary has secured training on tailoring. We have donated 3 sewing machines to the needy in time. The beneficiaries shall improve their livelihood by embracing the new profession as tailors and cater to the needs of the village

Flag Hoisting @ Govt Middle School

We celebrated Independence day with school children and teachers of govt middle school Vadivelampalayam and distributed sweets. During the event, we donated a Public Address system and Integrated a Hitech boom box. We recognized the efforts of front line health workers of the school & donated rice and grocery kit in appreciation of their work

Elevating living conditions of Tribal Hamlet

In line with the need assessment, we have provided Solar Lamps to the Tribal hamlet. These lights will safeguard them from wild animals & poisonous reptiles during the night. These lights shall help the children to study & do homework during evenings

Covid Awareness – Mask Distribution

To improve the awareness of Covid 19 behavior we have distributed masks to the villagers. During the mask distribution we have re-iterated the importance of physical distancing, washing the hands & consultation of a doctor, etc.

We have identified like-minded young adults who can support the development activities in and around Vadivelampalayam village. We have got the documents signed by their leaders. Now on all community service projects will get implemented along with RCC

Birthday Relay Basket

Birthday Relay Basket is a unique project of our club. We celebrated the birthday with our club member Rtn Roy Roche & their family. The event starts with handing over of Indoor Plant (instead of Bouquet) to support the environment followed by cake cutting, songs & feasting on snacks. The BRB got an overwhelming response & appreciation from Anns & Annetts & enhanced our RCC family bonding.

Science & Practice of successful breastfeeding

World Breastfeeding Week: We co-hosted this webinar with the Rotary Club of Bharuch in association with BOGS & FOGSI to bring awareness of breastfeeding to the public. Speaker Dr. Ketan Bharadva, President Human Milk Banking Association & Dr. Bina Bharadva, Lactation Consultant & IYCN counselor gave a detailed consultancy on the subject. All the target audience benefited from this awareness program

Elevating livelihood through Vocational skills

Currently, most of the inmates of leprosy home earn their living through begging. Most of the companies are reluctant to give them jobs due to their disease. We have identified inmates of leprosy homes & their daughters by assessing their skills and interests. We have distributed 3 sewing machines which will help them to change their profession as tailors and stop begging at once. Our AG Rtn Muruganandham has consented to be our chief guest and handed over the machines.

Breast Feeding Tips & Tricks

World Breastfeeding Week: We have co-hosted the webinar with Rotary Club Bharuch, RID 3060 in association with BOGS, FOGSI. The speaker of the day is Dr. Prachee Shah, MD (Pediatrics)  and she gave detailed anatomy of breastfeeding, tips, and tricks for the new mothers and to be mothers. The target audience eagerly participated in the webinar and sought clarifications from the experts. The event was a grant success and witnessed a large number of beneficiaries joining the online session.
